When we opened our doors back in 2008, the dream was simple: serve coffee we were proud of, in spaces that felt real. We’ve always believed that coffee should be more than just a drink—it’s a way to practice integrity through every step from farming practices to roasting, and bring people together to build a stronger community. What started as a scrappy idea in Tempe has grown into something bigger than we could have imagined, thanks to people like you who’ve believed in us from the start.
Now, we’re entering our next chapter—and it’s a big one. Here’s what’s brewing:
- We plan to open three new Cartel cafés, including a second out-of-state spot in West Hollywood, CA—a huge step into a brand-new market.
- We aim to roll out elevated food programs across all locations. Think breakfast sandwiches to start your day and grilled sandwiches at lunch—simple, delicious, and made to pair perfectly with our coffee.
- We are planning a bigger marketing push and a fresh website—time to share Cartel with more people and make connecting with us easier than ever.
