Everyone, meet Nick. He's a barista at our Downtown Phoenix location and we're lucky to have him. Not only is he artistic, stylish, and talented—he's simply the type of person that can put a smile on your face in seconds.

What are a few interesting things about you?

I study fashion design at ASU!

What brought you to Cartel?

My brother was very into coffee and would take me to Cartel in high school and I began to fall in love with coffee/the coffee shop environment. After moving to Tempe to go to ASU, I was like "I'm gonna try and work there"!

What's your perspective on Cartel, your community, and the industry as a whole?

I think cartel has an amazing product and I love how the company prides itself in being a space for individuals to express themselves in a creative manner no matter there gender/sexuality/background.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

Playing music, talking to costumers about peculiar palette occurrences with the drinks, finding out what people are passionate about in their studies/careers/hobbies.

What are your aspirations for the future?

To potentially go to grad school or study abroad!

What is your favorite beverage?

Cold brew with oat milk or an oat milk cortado!

Next time you're in the Downtown Phoenix area, don't forget to stop by and talk to Nick—he's the best.
