Humans of Cartel

He plays drums, and he plays them loud; he roasts coffee, and he roasts it good. Tucson, we hope you'll get to know Ryan as not only a barista, but as a roaster. You read that right—he'll be roasting coffee at our Campbell-Grant location in Tucson. That roaster in the corner? Not just for decoration. Ryan will be manning the ship. We're hyped.

What brought you to Cartel?

Some of my best friends have worked here for years and it’s a family and crew I always wanted to be a part of.

What's your perspective on Cartel, your community, and the industry as a whole?

Cartel is a place that makes room for anyone and everyone to be family. Our Tucson Cartel community is so tightly knit and I love that. We have a crew that kicks ass and everyday is full of laughs and killer capps.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

Making people feel appreciated and celebrated with the best coffee around.

What are your aspirations for the future?

To write music, roast coffee and design houses.

What is your favorite beverage?

Head to our Tucson Campbell-Grant location to catch Ryan roasting all of your favorite coffees; ask him what coffee he's cooking up and for music suggestions.
