Humans of Cartel

Tatyana's fluent in Russian, has done sutures on a Golden Eagle, has a 65-gallon freshwater fish tank at their home, and will make you a damn good cup of coffee if you swing by our Tempe Maple-Ash location. They're our #HumansOfCartel feature this week, so we wanted to share a little more about them.

What brought you to Cartel?

Looking for a new job close to ASU campus, always wanted to learn more about specialty coffee and the supply chain that makes it possible.

What's your perspective on Cartel, your community, and the industry as a whole?

Working at Cartel has introduced me to some of the best friends I’ve ever had, allowed me networking opportunities I would have never expected and taught me the value of working for a company that puts its community first.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

Being able to come into work every day and say I’m friends with everyone I work with.

What are your aspirations for the future?

My academic background is in urban planning and sustainability. I hope that I can continue to work in spaces that encourage placemaking and see value in how our built and natural environments can impact the health and well-being of individuals and their communities. I also really love using GIS to make maps and data management and analysis in general, so hopefully, I get to incorporate that in the future.

What is your favorite beverage?

Oat milk cappuccino.

Swing by our Tempe-Maple Ash location to grab some coffee and have a chat with Tatyana.
