Bolivia Edwin Huanca
This specific lot comes from the farm of Edwin Huanca, who lives deep in the community of Tuki Tuki, nestled in the Caranavi area. In Bolivia, specialty coffee is grown at an altitude of 1,200 to 2,000 metres above sea level and is primarily (90 per cent or more) centered in the Yungas and the province of Caranavi. Bolivia has in recent years made a great deal of headway in entering specialty coffee markets. Bolivian farms are normally run and managed as family businesses where every member of the family contributes to all stages of production, thus contributing a unique quality to each farm’s production. For the most part, coffee cherries are washed by the wet method and mostly dried on African beds (necessary due to the high altitudes and low temperatures). Depending on the distance of the farm from the nearest mill, coffee cherries may be delivered direct for processing, or the coffee may be pulped at the farm, dried, and delivered in parchment. Please allow 24-48 hours for fulfillment*

Aguablanca Wet Mill Project
Located in the heart of the Colombian Andes, in the Valle de Laboyos, epicentre of the coffee production in Colombia, the Aguablanca mill is an efficient and perfectly located mill for many producers. As producers begin to work with the Aguablanca mill, there is an improvement of supply chain connection, providing producers with increased access to international markets and higher incomes. This, in turn, directly improves living conditions, creating a bright future for these communities. This specific lot comes from 30-50 smallholder producers throughout Huila and processed at the newest Aguablanca wet mill. Opened in 2024, the Aguablanca mill is state of the art, and the most advanced wet mill facility in Colombia. Thanks to the opening of this mill, there has been a direct impact on 600 producing families in the area of the South of Huila. Please allow 24-48 hours for fulfillment*

Rwanda Nyamasheke Kanzu
Kanzu’s coffee comes from the Nyamasheke growing region in South Central Lake Kivu. It’s high up in the mountains around 2000 meters above sea level and features green, lushly-forested mountainsides. Bordering Congo on the west, Nyamasheke offers a range of altitudes all the way up to 2200 MASL and beyond. It’s also home to the biodiverse Nyungwe forest, where rainfall ranges from 1300 to 1400 millimeters per year. The soil is volcanic and rich. All of those factors combine to bring unparalleled quality. The Nyungwe National Forest protects Kanzu’s biodiversity and prevents deforestation. The forest collects cloud cover, generating a special misty microclimate that slows cherry maturation and protects the coffee from climate extremes. It’s right above Lake Kivu and the view looks down on the watershed, all the way down to the lake itself. Kanzu is on the downslope right below this forest, at an extremely high elevation, so climate plays a huge role in the flavor development of coffees from the region. The cherries here ripen a lot later than most of the country and are frequently one of the last harvests of the season. Please allow 24-48 hours for fulfillment*

Blend Forty Eight
Blend Forty-Eight was the very first blend crafted by Cartel – and it’s still one of our all-time favorites. Designed to be smooth, balanced, and endlessly approachable, this medium-light roast quickly became a go-to for coffee lovers of all kinds. Over time, we discovered its real magic: it makes a beautifully rounded espresso, especially when paired with milk. This 3:1 blend combines three parts washed coffee with one part natural, offering a nuanced flavor profile that’s both vibrant and comforting. Because we believe in working with the freshest, most in-season green coffees, the components of Blend Forty-Eight shift slightly throughout the year – but the spirit of the blend stays the same: easygoing, reliable, and delicious in every brew. Please allow 24-48 hours for fulfillment*

Desert City Dark
We took our time to develop a blend that mitigates acidity via the beans sourced, which allows us to roast this one slightly lighter than comparable dark roast coffees. The end result is a rich, bold, full-bodied cup that does not present the smoky, burnt, ashy, or carbonic notes that many dark roast coffees carry. This is the perfect cup for acidity-averse folks: it won’t taste bitter, but it also won’t be overly bright or intense! Finally, a coffee you can bring home to mom and dad – and all actually enjoy together. Please allow 24-48 hours for fulfillment*

Double Star Decaf
Despite the industrial-sounding name, specialty roasters today consider EA processing to be a “natural” method of decaffeination in the same vein as Swiss water processing because both EA and its constituent parts, ethanol and acetic acid, are compounds commonly found in foods. EA processing is becoming a more common sight on specialty roasters’ shelves because of its elevated potential for quality and lower environmental impact. Please allow 24-48 hours for fulfillment*
