In the rich area of the San Salvador Volcano, there are nutritious, volcanic soils and ideal climates for coffee production. In the municipality of La Libertad is where the farm, Miramar, is situated. Owner Fernando Felipe Alfaro Castaneda acquired the farm in 2019 to begin producing exotic varietals to submit into competitions such as Cup of Excellence. Once picked, coffee cherries are placed in sealed containers in a mixture of components to help regulate the fermentation process. After being sealed for 192 hours, they are placed on raised beds to dry for 30-35 days, then collected and bagged. El Salvador produces exceptional coffees to a consistently high standard.
