We’re thrilled to bring you Kenya Narok Mara Estate! Mara is a large estate, with minimal shade, planted near the town of Lolgorien, and harvest during Kenya’s fly crop months of May, June, and July. The farm primarily processes almost entirely naturals. These beans are barrel-fermented for 4 days before they’re dried on raised beds. This helps the fruit to sweeten and partially ferment before drying. Located in Narok, Mara Estate is essential to the community, as it gives jobs to many local families and produces some stellar coffees from Kenya. The Narok region is famous for its smallholder coffee, and it’s just perfect for growing high-quality beans because of its high elevation, flat terrain, and dry climate. When our team tried it, we tasted hints of berries, dark chocolate, and those delicious dried fruits.
