Blend Forty-Eight was the very first blend crafted by Cartel – and it’s still one of our all-time favorites. Designed to be smooth, balanced, and endlessly approachable, this medium-light roast quickly became a go-to for coffee lovers of all kinds. Over time, we discovered its real magic: it makes a beautifully rounded espresso, especially when paired with milk.

This 3:1 blend combines three parts washed coffee with one part natural, offering a nuanced flavor profile that’s both vibrant and comforting. Because we believe in working with the freshest, most in-season green coffees, the components of Blend Forty-Eight shift slightly throughout the year – but the spirit of the blend stays the same: easygoing, reliable, and delicious in every brew.
