What are a few interesting things about you?
I am passionate about food and believe that not only should everyone be able to enjoy eating, but also to be able to nourish their bodies without sacrificing textures and flavors if they have dietary restrictions. I love learning about all things related to the culinary world, and I am particularly fascinated by the combination of baking and science. Food is a huge part of my life and culture and I want to share it with the world.
What brought you to Cartel?
I’ve been with Cartel since June of 2019. I started as the weekend baker and have progressed to this role in that time.
What’s your perspective on Cartel, your community, and the industry as a whole?
I love food. Period. I enjoy being able to share in this passion with others. I’ve never worked in such a diverse environment and I’m happy to be a part of it. I am a bit embarrassed to say that I know pretty much next to nothing about coffee though!
What is your favorite thing about your job?
Um…the food part.
What are your aspirations for the future?
I (excuse the pun) hunger for knowledge not only related to recipes, but also techniques, flavors, and anything and everything related to the culinary world. Baking is a never-ending learning experience and I am confident that I will learn something new about food every day for the rest of my life.
What is your favorite beverage?
H2O, baby. It keeps those kidneys in good shape.
